VP Racing Fuels and Hoosier Racing Tire will continue their close affiliation with the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway in 2020, event officials have announced.
VP Racing Fuels is signed as the Official Race Fuel of the Wild West Shootout. Additionally, Hoosier is set as the Official Tire of the six-race mid-winter motorsports extravaganza in the Southwest that runs from January 11-19.
“Both VP Racing Fuels and Hoosier Tires are great supporters of not only this event but dirt track racing as a whole,” said Wild West Shootout promoter Chris Kearns. “They’ve both been a big component in the growth of the Keyser Manufacturing Wild Shootout over the past several years. Their belief in the magnitude of this event is reflected in the fact that each company services the miniseries with a tractor-trailer load of their respective products onsite. It’s pretty awesome to have their continued support.”
The Super Late Model portion of the miniseries will once again boast the Keyser Quarter-Million Challenge. The lucrative bonus program that offers a $250,000 bonus for sweeping all six features; $100,000 for winning five; $25,000 for capturing four; and $10,000 for claiming three. A driver able to pull off the feat of sweeping the races would depart Arizona with over $293,000.
In 2019, Illinois racer Bobby Pierce streaked to three wins and claimed the accompanying $10,000 bonus. A pair of mechanical failures stalled his chances at an exponentially larger reward.
Joining Super Late Models on the six-race slate are Modifieds and X-Mods. The miniseries will collectively pay out over $200,000 in purses throughout the course of six nights.
