Earlier this year we brought you a video of street stock driver Mike McKinney being on the wrong end of a retaliation. That video was one heck of a ride, but fails in comparison to Mike’s most recent scary crash.
Before you start thinking that Mike seems to get himself into a lot of these situations, understand that mike won his first track championship this year and is battling right now for a national championship.
This crash wasn’t Mike’s fault. It’s hard to tell what happened from the on board video because of a piece of mud covering the camera, but once the video switches over to the outside view, you can see that another competitor was blowing an engine infront of him. Either McKinney ran over something, or jumped out of the gas so hard that the left side trailing arm broke sending him into these violent flips.
Just look at the damage the 5 flips caused!
How did Mike respond to the flip? He’s ready for the next race! Thanks for the all the thoughts and concerns…I flipped five times last night. I’m pretty sore this morning, but doing just fine. Can’t thank all the staff and competitors at Kankakee for their help and support. We’ll figure out what we’re going to do…we’ve got a national championship to win.
