Video: Just For Fun – Dirt Crate Late Model Vs. Northeast Modified

Because our job requires the use of social media, we surf the interwebs often. Many times we find stuff of interest that is a couple of years old, but certainly worth the effort to repost. Y’know, that stuff that has the “Hey Joe. Check this shiznit out!” factor. Anything that makes a viewer respond, from a “WTF were you guys thinking” and “Geez, that’s two minutes of my life gone,” to “That’s the greatest thing I’ve ever seen,” is fair game. As long as you feel some kind of emotion.

Jeremy Wonderling attempts to take his crate late model to the outside of Les Myers’ Modified but is squeezed into the wall. The Old Bradford Speedway is a little dry slick and dusty.

In the case of this video, we found a pairing of the 3J Crate Late Model of Jeremy Wonderling matched against the #X3 Vintage Modified of Les Myers at Old Bradford Speedway on Sunday, June 12th, 2016. An interesting match to say the least. We watched in amazement at the exhibition, and both drivers looked like they wanted to really put on a show, right up to the moment when Les turned Jeremy in the back straight. Then we knew that the video comments had to be gold so we did an immediate scroll down to see what the viewers wrote.

Wonderling’s next attempt is on the bottom, and seems to be working until Myers puts the front bumper to the crate late, and spins him in the back straight.

True to form, most of the racers immediately commented on the track surface. Some commented on how risky it was to race that hard with nothing at stake. Two comments stood out to us. The first was really the point of the match: “The ticket holders seemed to enjoy it. That’s what matters.” To that comment we thoroughly agree. The other one that stood out made us LOL. Seriously, we laughed out loud. “Harder racing than I see in a 400 lap cup race… and a lot less crying also!   Great race and video, it puts a smile on my face!”

Right on. It put a smile on our face too.
