The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters has announced the 2019 edition of its Winter Heat. For 2019 the miniseries has been expanded to 10 races. In 2018, the inaugural Winter Heat Series presented by FireAde saw six events contested.
The 2019 miniseries is set for January 25 – March 9. During the 10-race series, six tracks will host at least one event. Action opens on January 25-26 at Hendry County Motorsports Park (Clewiston, Florida) with a pair of big events. The doubleheader marks the first-ever appearance by the USCS Thunder Tour at the facility, which is located on the banks of Lake Okeechobee. History will also be made at the lid lifter. It marks the furthest south that the tour has ever raced.
On February 8-9 Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) will play host to Rounds #3 and #4 of the Winter Heat Series. Open Wheel fans have the weekend circled on the calendar as the USAC National Midgets will also be in action.
After an off weekend, the winged nomads return to action on February 22-23 at the clay confines of Southern Raceway (Milton, Florida). Complete shows for the USCS Sprint Cars are slated for each night during the second annual Battle at the Beach.
The month of March takes the tour to the Magnolia State. On March 1 action kicks off at Hattiesburg Speedway. The next night action moves due north to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) the next night.
The second annual USCS Winter Heat Series draws to a close on March 8-9 at Louisiana’s Chatham Speedway.
By the time that the miniseries draws to a close more than $120,000 in cash winnings and contingencies will be paid out.
