While Speedway Motors may have a new logo for 2019, one thing will remain the same. The Lincoln, Nebraska-based company continues to be a staunch supporter of the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA).
The venerable, high-performance parts manufacturer, retailer and distributor is the sanctioning body’s longest tenured sponsor. Speedway Motors’ association with IMCA dates all the way back to the 1950s.
“We’re proud of our long relationship with IMCA and we’re grateful for the support they’ve given us all these years,” Speedway Motors President Clay Smith said. “Our goal at Speedway Motors is to keep racing safe, affordable and fun. Our strong partnership with IMCA allows us to support today’s racers and for generations of racers to come.”
Speedway Motors unveiled its new logo in January, in conjunction with its What Moves You social media campaign.
“The new Speedway Motors logo has been a huge undertaking to say the least. We’ve been in communication with them throughout the process to ensure the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing logo was in step with their new design,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “A brand-new line of apparel is available to all IMCA sanctioned tracks and crews across the country will be proudly wearing the new design during the 2019 racing season.”
For the 2019 season Speedway Motors continues it support of the more than 9,000 IMCA racers. The company has renewed a program benefitting more than 200 tracks in the United States and Canada. Speedway Motors provides jackets, promoter and tech official shirts. In addition, they offer discounts on tech inspection equipment, flags and signage to help those facilities defray costs of their weekly programs.
For the fourth-straight season, drivers winning national championships in all eight sanctioned divisions receive helmets. First-year competitors, filling out and returning rookie application forms to the IMCA home office, get $100 discount certificates, along with a T-shirt and decal from Speedway Motors following initial rookie season feature wins.
The Speedway Motors program again includes post-season awards in five divisions. Top eligible finishers in Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock regional standings, and in Northern SportMod and Southern SportMod national standings all receive a pair of TruCoil springs.
New this year are $100 gift certificates for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car track and special series champions.
