Just as the coronavirus pandemic shut down racing this spring, Performance Friction Brakes (PFC) was getting ready to release their newest line of brake pads and discs that focused on short track racing. Now that many states have allowed outside activities to resume, dirt track racing has rebooted their race seasons. It is time for racers and race teams to be aware of the newest products in the racing industry.
Braking systems in oval track racing center around PFC Brakes, particularly in the dirt oval environment. The company tends to cater to customer requests, and in response to a volume of requests – as well as the likely prospect of limited track time as series and tracks slowly begin a return to a normal racing schedule – PFC has announced a new line of Dyno-Bedded CarbonMetallic pads and ZERO FAILURES discs.
Their original product release hit the streets on May 4, 2020, and the products are finally getting the attention of race teams after going through the uncertainty of racing being shut down to slow the spread of the virus. The PFC team offers race-ready pads and discs that have been prepared using their proprietary “Dyno-Bedding” cycle.
According to the press release, PFC’s Dyno-Bedding cycle can save racer’s time and money at the track by preparing the pads and discs so they are fully ready to race upon installation.
While many teams dreaded the routine, most racers were already aware of the benefits of bedding-in pads and discs for longevity and service. Having the routine performed at the factory is a major benefit to teams that want to spend their track time on improving their laps times yet still take advantage of the increased life of the pads and discs.
PFC states several part numbers in the dirt Modifieds and Late Model markets are available with the Dyno-Bedding process completed before shipping.
