We’ve all watched Karsyn Elledge’s racing career with great interest, and great hope. Along the way, the young lady has really blossomed into the greatest combination of driver, marketeer, and spokesperson. With each step, Karsyn has added fuel to the Earnhardt legend.
Anyone that is assuming young Karsyn is following in her family’s footsteps is only partially correct. She is currently breaking ground that neither her Mother Kelley, Uncle Dale Jr., or even Grandfather Dale Sr., have done. Last Saturday the driver announced that she would be starting the 2019 Chili Bowl Nationals in a Corey Tucker-Chad Boat Motorsports entry. Elledge made the announcement in a video on Twitter, filmed at the dirt track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Tucker Boat Motorsports team is emerging as one of the top teams at the Chili Bowl with 4 entries into the 2019 event, including the Rookie Elledge in the #83 Speedway Toyota midget. She will be teamed with team co-owner Chad Boat (#84X), Colby Copeland (#87), and Tanner Berryhill (#89).
Chad Boat finished 10th in last year’s Chili Bowl A-main final, and should be able to help rookie driver Elledge manage the alphabet soup of the early rounds. The Tucker Boat Motorsports team will be facing a couple powerhouse teams in Keith Kunz Motorsports, who will be fielding 10 cars with talented drivers. The team features two past multi-year champions of the event in Christopher Bell and Rico Abreu.
Stepping into the fray in a major way this year, is the Clauson Marshall Racing team with 9 entries currently. All of the Clauson Marshall entries have been sent in to the Chili Bowl officials with driver’s names TBA.
Racing at the Tulsa Expo Center for the Chili Bowl begins on January 14, 2019. The final night is scheduled for January 19, 2019. For more infomation visit the Chili Bowl Nationals online at Chili Bowl Nationals.
