To help small businesses economically impacted by COVID-19, Hagerty launched a grant program to help jumpstart U.S.-based businesses like restoration shops, specialty parts manufacturers, and others. The grants will range from $5,000 to $10,000.
Race teams and fabricators that restore vintage race cars may qualify for the grants. Give it a shot! What do you have to lose?
Restore the Roar is one of the many ways Hagerty is working to respond and support the automotive community. They’re offering payment options for those affected, hosting virtual events for members, have collected PPE to donate to local hospitals and healthcare facilities, as well as offering auto content online to keep car lovers engaged in the hobby.
Hagerty has launched “Restore the Roar!”—a grant program to help small businesses in the enthusiast vehicle community recover from the economic impacts of COVID-19. Grants will range from $5,000 to $10,000 and be awarded in mid-May to businesses selected based on their application.
Apply online today – the deadline is by 12:00 PM ET Monday, 4 May 2020.
To be considered for the Hagerty “Restore the Roar” small business grants, a business must:
- Be independently owned and operated
- Have no more than 20 employees
- Have annual revenue less than $5 million
- Be 50 percent focused on the collectible and enthusiast vehicle industry
- Demonstrate need based on the crisis’ impact on business
- Demonstrate how the funds will be used
“These businesses and their talented craftspeople are the engines that keep this industry alive, says McKeel Hagerty, CEO. “If we can help keep a few of them afloat during this tough time, we’re honored to do so.”
