The DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Late Model Tour is ramping up toward its third season. The series recently released their 2019 schedule, which includes 13 races at nine different tracks. This year’s events are strewn across the state of Wisconsin.
The 2019 campaign comes to life on Saturday, April 13 with a stop at the sprawling confines of Shawano Speedway (Shawano, Wisconsin). The race marks the first of two stops at the ½-mile oval this season.
For the month of May the tour has stops at Fountain City’s Mississippi Thunder Speedway on May 10 and at Seymour’s Outagamie Speedway on May 24.
As summer kicks into high gear for the series, so do the payouts. On June 18 the Diamond 41 is set for 141 Speedway (Maribel, Wisconsin). The feature event boasts the richest payday of the year on the series with a $4,100 top prize posted. Shawano Speedway rounds out the month with its second event on June 29.
On July 7 Eagle Valley Speedway (Jim Falls, Wisconsin) hosts its sole series event of 2019. Meanwhile, Outagamie Speedway returns with its second event on July 19.
With summer rapidly drawing to a close the Dirt Kings will sanction two events in August. Stops include an August 9 visit to Luxemburg Speedway and an August 16 trip to Outagamie Speedway.
While September may be the final month of action for the tour, it will by far be the busiest. Tour has four races on the slate with visits to TNT Speedway (Three Lakes, Wisconsin), Wilmot Raceway (Wilmot, Wisconsin), and the championship round on Thursday, September 26 at 141 Speedway.
In the first two years of the tour, Nick Anvelink from Navarino, Wisconsin has claimed the championship.
