Making a decision to expand their Hustler camshaft product line, COMP Cams is now offering a Hustler camshaft series. These new camshaft grinds are for CT525 LS-based crate engine owners that are not afraid to push the limits of the rulebook for extra horsepower, torque and usable RPM range.
According to the company’s press release, there are two new “stages” of Hustler camshaft for the CT525 crate engines. The Stage 1 Hustler cam profile offers .004-inch more lift than the stock cams and a very slight duration increase, making it very difficult to catch without removing the camshaft. The optimized cam profile and ramps provide for more area under the curve, resulting in greater power.
The Stage 2 Hustler design presses the rules even further by offering the same .004-inch increase in lift but 15-degrees more duration, surpassing GM’s maximum duration limit but maintaining the max allowable “legal” lift. In spite of this aggressive profile, the Stage 2 cam still maintains the “stock” like exhaust note, helping to not give away your new-found edge.
Features & Benefits:
- Custom developed/tested profiles for GM CT525 LS-based crate engines
- Stages 1 & 2 let you decide how much you want to push the rules
- Aggressive cam profile ramps give more area under the curve, resulting in greater power
- Maintains “stock” like exhaust note for stealth
