Afco is already a strong player when it comes to racing shocks. But now it is positioning itself to be a big player in the game with its new AT Series shocks built specifically for dirt track racing.
The AT Series stands for Afco Technologies, and the shock they had on display in their massive booth was one of the hits of the show. Honestly, it was difficult to get around racers just to get these photos.
We hope to bring you a more in-depth story (and even a test) of the AT Series shocks in the future, but here’s what we can tell you right now. These shocks have been designed from the ground up specifically for dirt track racing. All the aluminum parts are cut on high-end five-axis CNC machinery. The bladder has a very large gas resevoir and the baseplate is pressure balanced for better feel for the driver. The valve body and compression adjuster are constructed from stainless steel, and the shocks come standard with coil-over adjuster nuts.
And best of all, it’s all made in the USA.
