Whenever Loudpedal Productions releases a new video, there is really no words that need to accompany the footage they capture with their array of cameras. However, we were surprised to get a quick email from the Loudpedal crew the other day with a brief explanation of their latest release.
According to Mike Truex of Loudpedal Productions, “this is our first all in-car reel and really shows the power of in-car video.”
We took a look, and as always, the Truex crew capture it all.
The video’s description explained that the footage in the film was from Loudpedal’s journeys at dirt tracks throughout the U.S. in 2012. Shot entirely on Replay XD1080 cameras.
The drivers featured in the video include Tony Stewart, Kyle Larson, Robert Ballou, Chad Boespflug, Markus Niemela, Danny Sheridan, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Bryan Clauson, Jace Vanderweerd, and Greg Alexander.
Truex listed the track locations, in order of appearance, as Lawrenceburg Speedway, Perris Auto Speedway, Chili Bowl Nationals, Lincoln Park Speedway, Tri-State Speedway, Kokomo Speedway, Silver Dollar Speedway, Calistoga Speedway, Bloomington Speedway, Terre Haute Action Track, Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway, Ventura Raceway, and Gas City Speedway.
Our take on the footage is that it is simply incredible. Shots of the shock absorbers working as the car works the track, another shot from the rear looking forward under the belly pan show the driveshaft running through the center of the car with the driver’s feet on either side working the controls. Finally, our lasting memory of this video is of the sprint car that flipped, being hoisted out on the hook. We’ve never seen that before on in-car footage.
Another great video from the film crew that’s been making a lot of noise with their features. Well done Loudpedal Productions… we can’t wait till the next one comes out!
