Riverside’s Luke Dodd had already sewn up his third straight and fifth total  championship in the Street Stocks when he showed up at the track on October 27. That didn’t stop him from capping off the season with another feature win with Greg Mann and Chris Fritz following.

With no pressure and only bragging rights on the line, El Cajon’s Mike “MadDog” Lerwell also had his second Super Stock title in three years in the bag. This left the door open for a spirited battle between Tom Smith and Ricky Lee Jr. Smith lead the feature handily for most of the race, but Ricky Lee Jr., managed to reel the veteran driver in late in the race, making a last lap pass for the victory.

Coming into the evening, three drivers were still in contention for the track’s Modifieds crown. Winnemucca, Nevada’s Cory Sample was leading Yucaipa’s Chuck Becker, a two-time Modified champion at the track, by 11-points. Slightly behind Becker by 20 points was two-time track super stock champion Terry Hershberger of Corona. Sample was a no-show and Hershberger struggled with setup and track conditions in the B-Main. Becker cruised to a ninth place finish in the Modified main event and his third Modified track championship.

A three-way fight for supremacy in the American Factory Stocks boiled down to  Cameron Veatch of Temecula, Todd Fassler of El Cajon, and Nuevo’s Mike Burks sitting only nine points behind the co-leaders of the series. Veatch took advantage of a pole position start in the main to hold off Darren Myers for the win, and the Championship. Fassler finished race in second and Burks in fourth.
