The 40-lap feature started with a rookie Cade Dillard and veteran Billy Moyer Sr. on the front row. Dillard managed to get an early lead on Moyer and the rest of the field in the opening laps. It was another veteran that began moving through the field and tracking Dillard down as Mike Marlar moved into second place by the tenth lap.
Marlar began closing the gap between the Second and First place cars, capitalizing on Dillard’s inexperience in lap traffic to take the lead. When Dillard moved to the top to get around the lap cars, Marlar went to the bottom and made better time.
Marlar was challenged late by Darrell Lanigan but lap traffic again played a role as both drivers moved down to the same line in order to get by the lapped cars. Marlar began to pull away and collected the win and $5,000 First place prize money.
