Thirty-nine late model drivers entered the $10,059 to win race sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Iron Man Championship Series. Several regional favorites appeared to be on track to capture the honors but it was Eddie Carrier Jr. that took the Butterball Woolridge Memorial win at Richmond Raceway. It was Carrier’s first career win at the Richmond, Kentucky speedway, and first win in the Iron-man series.

The main grandstands were packed for the Butterball Memorial.
