The ever popular and affable Kenny Wallace started the 2012 racing season off on the dirt. That in itself is not news, Wallace is co-owner of a dirt track in Macon, Illinois, so there is dirt in his blood.
The things that make Wallace popular are the same things that most people like in a friend. Wallace can be a joker, often making fun of himself. He has a great sense of humor, a family man and dedicated husband. Wallace also is the blue collar guy that gives it his best shot, no matter what he’s up against. For Wallace the racer, the jokes stop and it’s all business behind the wheel.
It was never more apparent this year during the Florida Speedweeks. Wallace did decent at Bubba Raceway Park and found his groove at the East Bay Raceway Park.
This video was shot on February 9th during time trials. Wallace qualified in 7th, won the 6th heat race and finished the A-main in 3rd place behind winner Devin Dixon and runner up Rodney Wing.
The following night, Wallace qualified in 5th, won the 3rd heat race and won the A-main for his second career win at the track.
Sure, he may be a joker off the track, but on the track he’s a winner. And this year has started off in great fashion.
