This past Friday all of the major late model touring series like the World of Outlaws and the Lucas Oil Late Model Series had the weekend off. This left the drivers from their respective series looking for a big paying event. The majority of drivers ended up at the $10,000 to win Ultimate Super Late Model Series at Volunteer Speedway. Jimmy Owens would steal the show by dominating the 75 lap event.
Owen’s would never seriously be challenged and would capture the $10,000 winner’s check. Scott Bloomquist who was fast all day would not even make a lap as when he pulled out on the track for warm up laps his drive shaft would snap and leave the car motionless on the backstretch. All he could do was watch from the pits and hope on of his chassis would take home the checkered flag.
Eric Wells would post an impressive fourth place finish at the big event. Eric would attach a camera to his super late model during the event to provide us with a awesome camera angle to watch the event from. You can watch the impressive video below. Video Courtesy of Speedway Videos
