Video: Casey Shuman Discusses Driving The First Electric Midget

You might remember late last week when we brought you video of the first ever electric midget being drove at Bubba Raceway Park. Behind the wheel of the wildly quiet midget, was sprint car driver Casey Shuman. Shuman nicknamed Mighty Casey, has plenty of experience behind the wheel of open wheel cars. Casey is the 2008 Victorville Open champion, and is a threat to win whenever he shows up to compete. So when we discovered a video of him talking about what it’s like to drive the brand new electric midget, we knew we had to show you his remarks.

“It was actually pretty cool, it was a lot better then I ever expected,” said a surprised Shuman. “I didn’t expect much out of it, I figured it would be a little bit of a joke and it wasn’t at all. It got to where you had to pedal it a little bit, the throttle response is pretty similar to a normal midget. It’s pretty cool how similar it is.”

Watch all of Casey’s comments in the above video, and then let us know, do you think that this will take off? Will we see the day when coming to the green we won’t hear any engines? Leave a comment below and let us know!
