The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is getting ready to showcase their newly clay surfaced half-mile on March 7th and 8th. The two day event will feature the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series, West Coast 360 Non-Winged Sprint Cars, West Coast Shootout Late Models and IMCA Modifieds. The two nights of racing will open Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s NASCAR weekend with Late Models and IMCA Modifieds running on Wednesday night and the World of Outlaws and West Coast 360’s Thursday.
In 2011 the World of Outlaws competed at The Dirt Track twice with Joey Saldana and Steve Kinser bringing home victories. Saldana held off a charging Jason Meyers on opening night to claim his first World of Outlaw victory on the half mile. Saldana fought furiously on night two in a green-white-checkered event that saw Steve Kinser in victory lane.
The weekend will mark inaugural runs for the USAC West Coast 360’s and West Coast Shootout Late Model Series. The USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series will be facing the hot shoes of the ASCS Canyon Series. The event will open a mini-series between the two that will showcase some of the top talent from the West Coast. California’s talented West Coast Shootout Late Model Series drivers will take on Colorado’s CLMA DIRTcar Series in a $3,000 to win event.
