The driver who captured the last two nights of last year’s “Smackdown” was Indianapolis, Indiana’s Tyler Courtney, who has quickly found his Kokomo mojo after victory lane had eluded him over the years. Courtney worked his way to victory on the final corner of the final lap in last October’s “Kokomo Klash” sprint car feature.  After a rough go at Du Quoin in which he missed the A-Main, Courtney had hoped to get straightened out when he returned to the friendly confines of Kokomo Speedway for Clauson Marshall Racing.

True to his gut feelings, Sunshine lit up the night by taking the USAC Midget feature at the track with team mates Justin Grant finishing in 5th and Zeb Wise in 6th. Chad Boat and Brady Bacon landed on the podium in 2nd and 3rd.
