Rain Washes Out Night 2 Of Gold Crown Midget Nationals

The second night of the Gold Crown Midget Nationals at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill. has been rained out.  With the Saturday night show scheduled to be set off of a combined points from the first two nights for the USAC National Midget Series, the Saturday schedule has been adjusted.  Racing on Saturday night will feature a full program starting with heat races, followed by qualifier racers (similar to the Chili Bowl).  From there points will be totaled and the field will be set by passing points.  The top eight point earners will be sent to a dash to set the first four rows of the feature field and drivers will be distributed to two B-Mains, and, if the car count makes it necessary a C Feature.  

The non-sanctioned Wingless 410 will be contested as scheduled.
