For some of the stock classes in the Midwest it can be difficult to find stock parts. If supply and demand has taught us anything, it means that and the supply dwindles the price will start to skyrocket on these hard to find pieces. But thanks to IMCA and EngineQuest these pieces might not be so difficult to find any more.
IMCA has announced new rules for three divisions allowing EngeineQuest’s stock replacement cylinder heads legal in 2012. Chrysler part number CH318B will be legal in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMod divisions.
“Manufacture of the 7545 has been discontinued and that product may not be available,” stated Brett Root, IMCA Vice President of Operations. “There has been a demand for an OEM replacement cylinder head in these divisions and we met with EQ earlier this month during IMIS. I think the addition is a good option for our members and to maintain parity in the rules while getting an out-of-the-box option.”
Also legal is Chrysler part number 7545 and Weiand part number 8022 intakes.
