2012 Chili-Bowl Coverage: Friday Night’s Qualifier

It’s Friday the 13th and we’re live at the Chili-Bowl. Hot laps have just finished and we’ve got 68 new drivers that are going to be competing for the three spots in Saturday’s main event.

Parking was a little tight today, so we missed most of hot laps looking for a place to park. But we arrived just in time for the heat races.

Jac Haudenschild who won the 6th heat was turning some of the fastest laps we've seen all week. At times he was faster than both Swindells.

Dave Darland and Bryan Clauson battling for the victory in tonight's final heat.

Brandon Hahn went for a scary ride in tonight's final main. He would flip all the way down the backstretch but would walk away from the crash

Mike Visser would flip during his heat and will be having to go through a C-feature tonight

Bryan Clauson jumped out to the early lead, but was quickly hounded by Cory Kruseman.

Jac Haudenschild was fast allday, but would come up one position short finishing in 4th place.

Levi Jones would make a charge to the front and come home in second position

The race was only stopped once for a small spin. But under caution Brad Loyet's run from the C-main would come up short, as he would cut down a right front after contact under caution.
