Default what would you trade?

what would you trade a lifetime of racing for? anything?

If i could trade a lifetime of racing for one thing, i would go back to WWII right before it started so i could be trained as a combat pilot so i could dogfight the Germans in a P-51 D mustang. even if i knew i would get shot down, killed, or become a POW thats what i would trade a lifetime of racing for.

other than that, I'm really not sure... I loved being in a race car... and even outside of the race car... chicks look at you a little different when you're in a driving suit...

I think the question is, what would you give up FOR a lifetime of racing?!

I'd have to trade it for a detour around a 2001 crash I stumbled upon on highway 18 in apple valley.
Being the type of person I am, I stopped to help before the fire dept came. Bad Idea, It was a F'in Nightmare. I counted 8 dead. I'll spare the details, but you better think twice next time you decide to stop at a traffic accident and try to help. You name it I saw it. It was just like a horror movie. Before that date, I'd be the first one to run to help you, NOW I can't get away from the scene fast enough. There is nothing worse than being at a scene with no rescue equipment. Call 911 and let the pros handle it. I don't know what i would have done if the lady whom was trapped over the steering wheel would have died in front of me. Let alone standing there with her husband dead in the back seat and daughter decapitated on the ground outside.

Sorry for the downer......but That's what I'd trade.

FYI, Laughter is an amazing healer. Sadly, the only way I got past it, I am unable to share it on here. If you must know then you can PM me, but it's going to sound very tasteless, however I have zero apologies for it.

Life is too short to live in the past, or dwell on what could have been. Let it go, move on, don't put anything off. There may not be a tomorrow.

being on a traveling race team, we come across that stuff all the time... usually around 2am on our way back from SMS on the I-210...

never stopped... one time we went past, it just happened, I dont think cars were done hitting each other yet... 2 big rigs, a bunch of cars, many didnt even look like cars anymore...

my dad saw a guy at the Lake Elsinore skydive come down with a tangled chute, and had to drive out to the field to help him... he hit the ground so hard, he bounced twice...

yeah mine was in broad daylight about 5 in the afternoon. A fricken had 10 people in an escort wagon going about 60 mph. She hit a G-Out in a turn, started swapping, rolled upside down through the comedian and hit head on upside down with a ford taurus. I knew exactly what happen as soon as I seen the marks on the road.
Driver of the escort was found to have traces of about all the drugs you can think of in her (pcp, heroin, pot, meth, alcohol). She killed 5 adults and 4 kids in her car, 1 adult and 1 12 yr old in the other.

I'll never stop again. ONE EXCEPTON, If your obviously still alive, and no one else is on scene I will stop. If there is people already there, I'M OUT. I will always call 911 though.

Just the other day i came across a downed motorcyle. there was about 20 people already surrounding him. They all gave me dirty looks as I drove through the scene. I just flipped the bird and kept going. Screw That Noise.

i hear ya bro, that's harsh stuff. i guess if i had to pick a second trade, id trade racing to go back to Iraq and shoot the fat mother trucker that tried blowing us up on the road. some will ask how could you think of taking a life, simple, knowing he could possibly be out there still hurting more troops, id trade racing to get that mother s.o.b. i should of got him the first time, not that i was scared but it happened too fast, right after our truck passed the guy everything hit the fan.
