hey mr. Xl the 200sx ser actually came with the 15" wheels. I am trying to fugure out what i can get away with now because the car has aftermarket coil overs on it. Alot more tire clearance i think. Ill be doing some measuring. Soon. I have alot of stuff to do b4 i get there. But i figured i could start asking about it b4 im really ready.

Btw everyone. I really appreciate all of your suggestions and look forward to having this car ready for 2010. If anyone has any spare parts or knows anything about these car feel free to tell me.
Thanks again mr. 10t cris.

(1.826)*(4.176) is 7.63. So, based on my "pinto rumor" right around a 25" diameter tire should put you in the ballpark running 7000 rpm. 6400 rpm is suppossed to be your max hp and 7500 rpm is redline so 7000 shouldn't be a problem. The only question now is clearances. You're oem tire is suppossed to be a 195/55-15 which is 23.4". A 25" tire will be 3/4 to 1" closer (in height) to the spring seat on your strut.

195/70-14 is 24.8" (14" wheel)
205/70-14 is 25.4" (14" wheel)
195/65-15 is 25" (15" wheel)
205/60-15 is 24.7" (15" wheel)
205/65-15 is 25.5" (15" wheel)
205/55-16 is 25" (16" wheel)
now what do i need to know for 1/4 mile asphalt? How much has to be changed for that?

First you have to find out just how fast are the cars are going at a particular track. Different tracks will have different speeds based on grip, banking etc. so you need to find lap times for the "fast" cars for the track you want to run on. At 60MPH you go 1 mile per minute, so on a 1/4 mile track you would take 1/4 minute (15 seconds) to complete a lap at that speed. To find the average speed for a given lap time you take 15 seconds, divide by the lap time (in seconds) and then multiply by 60MPH. So if you have a lap time of 16.8 you would get:
15 / 16.8 * 60 = 53.6 MPH
That's the average speed. You'll want to be capable of doing a little faster than that. I've been figuring about 5 MPH for 4 bangers and it seems to be a pretty good number. So that would put you around 59 MPH (for our ficticious lap time).
Now it's time for the gear speed calculator program.
Gear-Speed Calculator Program
1.826 for 2nd gear and 4.176 for your diff (final drive on this calculator)
input the tire size info (like 185 60 14), tell it calculate speed and then look to see what speed is made at the RPM you want to run at. Keep playing with different tire sizes until you find the one that gets you the right speed for the right RPM and you should be good. Taller tires will decrease RPM, smaller will increase it.

To figure for a 1/3 mile (VAR) use 20 seconds instead of 15 and for 1/2 mile (Perris) use 30 second instead of 15.
