Smile Hillbilly.

Ditto Kdawg. I would love to see a crate engine class out here. Like you said, it puts the skill back into driving. I'm thinking that the only people who would not like a crate engine class are the ones that won't be able to buy a higher finishing position. That is......drivers with more money than talent. I have neither so I think that makes me the best judge on this subject!

Yep. That's Hillbilly Branson. The electrical engineer (by trade) that had an electrical fire in the pit area with his car. Hillbilly, Yep, I heard about that one. You're going to have to explain the story behind that to me. I haven't been able to talk to you about it and here seems as good a place as any. How in the world can a qualified electrical professional such as yourself, burn down your car in the pits because of an electrical fire? Or.....let me guess.......it was Dylan's car?

Hello TIM Welcome to Onedirt!!
I am looking forward to your input on these sportmods. I think it's a brilliant addition to the track and just goes to show how much Mike thinks of his drivers. It would be just as easy for him to say "Deal With it".

The electrical fire was in my old Streetstock (#13) back in early 06. We had a wire that rubbed through the jacketing at the fire wall and caused all kinds of havoc. We ended up fixing the wiring and ran later that night. No that wasn't Dylan's car. I bought big Dave's old orange Malibu (#79) last season. He's going to drive it in 2010 in the Street division. So there won't be any chance of You 2 getting together....lol. I am going to run the Sport Mod division in my Mod (#88) & a few races in the streetstock division in his car (#83). I ran in one time this last year. The unfortunate part was that we only got to do a shake down run during the heat race and when we went out for the b-main, I was running 4th comforably (transfer position) before the cam shaft broke and wiped out the #7 & 8 rods and broke the back of the block. I look forward to having Thunderstruck back up here racing again.

HA. Loved the story. Electrical fires smell really rank, and I hate that smell. Hey Hillbilly, I'll be racing up there again with you this next season and I'm looking forward to it. No more "Thunderstruck" though. The Mod is #K9 and the driver is Canine also. Both of us are pooches. This stage in life, I am much less of a grayhound and more of a bassett hound.......but still a hound.
Hanging out with Kdawg, the dog theme seems to be a common one so we might have to give you a hillbilly dog name. Something like "Blue Tick" or "beagle".

Funny Kev.......If it weren't for Jason, Walt Renolds, and I think there was someone else there when the car came to a stop in the infield, I would heve probably lost the car. Now keep in mind the fire crew were setting next to their rig watching. Guess we decided to have a Car-B-Que during their lunch break. They were probably pissed we didn't invite them.

Ok Sportmod, got your nickname. Brian. Ya know, the dog from "family guy"?
You remind me of Brian.

Kdawg reminds me of the oldest son Chris on the family guy.

Victory is mine.....haha.

Ok first thing is the sport mod idea was Tony Kinkade and Mike Sayle that came up with it. It clearly was to take the guys that did not what or have the big bucks to race or the know how (learning). This class will run on night with sprits and this should help the imca show to go much faster with out a b-main and the faster car dealing with the slower one and like Tim said a cheap way for guys to step up.It already has some fast guys stepping up Chris Tooley, etc and some guy will run two cars like the Kinkades,M Sayle, A Mortan and iam sure it will be a fun class to race

Right on. It looks like there will be plenty of competition in that class.

BTW, welcome to the website, We hope that you like it and continue to help us get the word out on subjects like this one. So much happens in the dirt track world that it takes a lot to keep up with. Having people like you provide insight on these items sure does help.

Thanks and have a great time here!

Finally Some Local Voices coming from Victorville!! I Love it. Welcome to Onedirt FWMOD01.

On speeding up the IMCA Show, I LOVE that Idea. I can't tell you how frustrating it got sitting in staging and watch the lights blink yellow and green all night. I meant what I said, they didn't seem to be able to start a race even if they drove off a cliff together.

It's also good to hear Kincade will be back in 2009. Like him or not he is great for the show. reminds me of my brother the way he wheels his Mod. Wide the F open passing people inside or outside, doesn't matter where you go he will move around you on the other side.
