Is this different that their "tuff bead" (or what ever they call it). If so where do you get it and how much does it cost?

When my dad ran street stock, his friend Bob told him to run just a bolt in the left side on the sway bar. No bushings. Same principle as the chain. Let it float. He'd scale the car with it loose and then once all the numbers were where he wanted them, he'd have someone tighten the bolt until it just touched. But this was back in the "old" days before clay when the track was always dry slick. With all the rain we've had the track should be good until after the fair. The first race after the fair will prob be dry. Unfortunately, when you have to let dirt sit for a month in the desert air it's gonna dry out.

It doesn't show intelligence to believe that a beadlock on the right rear is going to help steer the car through the turns.

There is no competitive advantage to running a beadlock other then being able to run less air pressure on the right side tires.
In all actuality the beadlocks adds weight to the wheels which takes away power because it robs a little power when you add heavier components.

On the left side, you need beadlocks on the inside of the wheels - not the outside.

For racing, you can add sheet metal screws to the bead to get the same effect as a beadlock without adding all the extra weight.

There you go Rowdy, you got it right. The guys at Victorville want to run a beadlock on the right rear so they can run lower air pressures. There's this big rut that forms in turn 4 some nights that is a tire killer. One night I believe it claimed at least 6 tires. Everytime someone complained to Mike, the track promoter, he'd pretty much tell them beadlocks are expensive, air is free, put more air in your tires. I guess he finally got tired of hearing it.
