Exclamation I need help getting started

Hello,

My name is Alisha Hammond; I am from Mason County West Virginia. I have grown up around dirt track cars my whole life. My grandpa raced in the 80's.My dad raced when I was a little one, so my weekends were always at a race track. I am 20 years old going on 21 in May of 2010. I want my grandpa, dad to help build me a race car, so I can experience what my grandpa and dad has a time before. I all ready have a body of a 1981 olds cutlass we are trying to build a motor to run in it. I have been looking for things to help me out a bit, but I need a little help.

I was just wondering if you know any sponsors that would sponsor me driving a dirt track car.

Thank you for your time,

Alisha Dawn Hammond

try any local companies, auto shops, tire shops , ice cream stands etc.. many "sponsors" will really only hook you up with what they deal with, ie: tires or what not.. many of them arent out to spend alot, they just want advertisment and to get their name seen by the public.. thats how they get their name on your car, give you a deal for parts , you advertise for them... it usually helps to have a portfolio with a picture of the car , racing history etc.. also , ask your dad and grandpa about any locals that may have helped them out before, kinda like a good guy deal...i hope this helps

Unless your family owns a business, there is not a lot of chances that people are going to give you their hard earned money before you actually prove yourself.

Racing takes a lot of time and dedication and unless you are willing to put everything you have in the world into your racing career, you are not going to succeed.

You did not even say where you are from or where you are planning on racing.

Princeton? Beckley?

You will also find that most sponsors - only sponsors cars that they are physically related to or late model drivers. The Street Stock drivers gets no respect and no money. But that is something that you are going to have to find out for yourself.
