Photos: Gateway Dirt Nationals Night #1

The second annual VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals came to life on Thursday night. With 107 Modifieds and 93 Super Late Models in the pits area at the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis.

The opening round was headlined by qualifying for both divisions as well as a Super Late Model Race of Champions and Modified heat races.

Illinois’ racer Mike McKinney was the Wehrs Machine Modified Fast Qualifier, while Tennessee’s Jason Welshan was the Textron Off Road Super Late Model fast qualifier.

Shannon Babb raced to the $5,000 victory in the 20-lap Super Late Model Race of Champions.
