Justin Grant continued to show strong at the Terra Haute Action Track as he won the Sumar Classic with a solid performance. The race was on when Jerry Coons Jr. took the lead for the first 1o laps. C.J. Leary drove by on the topside after a lap 11 restart, holding the position until Grant caught Leary in lap traffic.

#91 Justin Grant and #30 C.J. Leary.

Grant ran up front until Shane “The Throttle” Cottle began to battle for the spot. The two swapped positions for a couple of laps before Grant snagged the lead on the bottom, then pulled ahead.

#26 Aaron Pierce and #40 Dave Byrne.

Kody Swanson passed Grant and Cottle on lap 77. Waiting for the right moment, Cottle passed the second place Grant and pulled beside Swanson. The two touched wheels putting both cars into spins – bringing out the yellow. On the restart, Grant cruised out to an easy lead. Swanson managed to get new tires and worked his way through the field, mounting another challenge. Grant caught the lap traffic just right and had saved enough of his equipment to take the checkers in first place. Swanson finished in second with Tyler Courtney rounding out the podium.

#4 Joe Liguori and #53 Steve Buckwalter.

Top 3: Kody Swanson, Justin Grant, and Tyler Courtney.
